my owen is eight. i just don't even know how this has happened or how to feel about it. it's amazing to see how grown up he has become and i'm blown away by how his mind works. he is smart, observant, needs everything to be equitable, precise, and stubborn. he is an amazing biggest brother and can also be a huge goofball and so wild. i am excited to see the man he becomes, but hope it's not too soon!
it just kinda hit me, 35 weeks today. the no going back milestone. technically if this baby decides to come in the next 15 minutes the doctors will let him. an incredibly relieving and equally terrifying thought.
we have nothing ready, but in all honesty, we are as ready as we are going to get. we don't need to get his room ready, he has no room. we are still in our perfectly reasonably sized (until you add kid number 5) house and he will have to make due with a corner or my room. i'm guessing with the way life goes, an offer will be made on our house with a stipulation that we close and have to be out of our house the same week he does arrive, and if that happens it will be fine.
he has no name, but that will come later, and it will be perfect for him. all we can do now is wait.
